Presidency says it hasn't formally received National Assembly summons

Following the summon issued to President Buhari by the National Assembly, the presidency has revealed that it is yet to be contacted via official channels. Speaking through the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu stated that the president had not been summoned through the established channels of communication. He said:

“There is a channel of communication between the Presidency and the National Assembly which we utilize. So, if they communicate to us through those channels, then the presidency will reply. But as it is now, it remains a newspaper report and newspaper is not a means of communication for the presidency. When they communicate, the presidency will also communicate back”, he said.
